5 Ginger Shots Recipes + Health Benefits

Top 3 health benefits of ginger shots

  • Packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory amino acids. Ginger antioxidants help fight free radicals and toxins in the body by cleaning out your lymphatic system.

  • Aids digestion and boosts metabolism. Daily ginger shot in the morning is great if you have digestive issues, or are trying to lose weight because ginger helps the stomach produce more acid which boosts your metabolism. It's also great if you have morning sickness because ginger has the most potent natural anti-nausea properties.

  • Induces thermogenesis, which increases the core body temperature, increases sweating and helps you lose extra water weight.

BONUS - How Ginger can increase the effectiveness of your workouts!

What you do after a workout to recover is just as important as what you do during a workout. Ginger helps to maximize your workouts by speeding up the recovery time, allowing your muscles and tissues to heal faster and more efficiently!

If you're trying to build muscle mass quickly and gain flexibility the recovery period is crucial. The soreness you feel after a workout is from microtears in the muscle and tissue fibers, this is inflammation, and ginger is a very potent anti-inflammatory.

Five Ginger Shot Recipes to make today!

Each recipe has a base, a foundation, and the foundations for these wonderful, healing ginger shots are:

- Lemon

- Green tea

- Ginger

Why the Lemon and green tea?

First of all, lemon is filled with Vitamin C which is another immune-boosting property to add to your shots, but best of all, lemons are alkalizing! They are acidic in their natural state but are alkalizing to the body when metabolized. Your body thrives and heals when it's alkaline and fed alkaline foods (such as lemons, grapefruits, greens).

TIP: Try to leave as much of the pith (white part of lemon)

Now the Green Tea! This might seem a bit odd to some of you but I love to add green tea as a base to all my juices and smoothies instead of water or dairy-free milk because green tea is filled with antioxidants which reduces inflammation and reduce your risk of heart disease and cancer.

This combination of adding the green tea and lemon to the ginger shots makes the properties of the ginger more potent and effective!
